Memory Screening – Alicia Ashman Library
Event Dates
- Tuesday, 10/15/2024 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Event Description
About: Are you concerned about your memory? Some change can be normal as we age, but significant memory loss is not a normal part of aging. Annual memory screens provide early detection of possible changes in memory and better treatments - just as blood pressure, cancer, diabetes, and stroke screenings do. It creates a baseline so future changes can be monitored. Some types of dementia are reversible, like those from nutritional and vitamin deficiencies, depression, thyroid issues, and more.
What to know/bring: A specialist from the Aging & Disability Resource Center will provide these free 15-minute, confidential memory screenings and will have information about memory, memory clinics, brain health and local resources that are available.
Space is limited and registration is required.
